ya, basically what ras just said. Shit is expensive from illadelph and toro too. but you get quality shit from them both from what ive read. All this is making me want to seek out a mentor in blowing glass and taking some classes or w/e to get involved.

and this...i've taken some blacksmithing courses before...but I really really really wanna learn how to blow my own glass

For a few months I was going over and chilling at a guys home studio a few days a week. Even just getting baked and watching them blow glass is awesome.
