 Buy perc or new bong?

Just went to the head shop, they have some nice smaller bongs with percs and maybe ash catcher for about $50-60, and they sell some good ashcatcher and perc slides I can just attach to my bong for $25-35 bucks.
I have two bongs, the reason I wanted to buy a new bong or a perc slide is because in the thread I made here when I first got my big blue bong a year or two ago I believe some people said it was softglass which wasn't very good. But it is big and smokes nice.
Do you think attacthcing a perc to the big blue would allow me better rips that get me higher?
Or would if that's my goal would ut be better to spend a little more and just get a higher quality bong w/ percs and what not?
Or do you think a new bong wouldn't make a difference in my highs?

I don't buy small bongs; I'd say either get a cool bubbler or pick up a bong accessory like the ashcatcher you're talking about.

Invest in a nice bong. 18-22 inch straight pipe (or beaker if thats your thing) and you can slowly accessorize it to your liking.

Thanks for the advice guys, I just saw your responses. 
If I saw how many responses this got I would have posted what I got in this thread, but I just made a new thread with pics of the bong I bought. Let me know why you guys think of it!

If no one responds to my other thread the mods can delete it if they want, I don't care, I'm posting wih iPhone so bare with me...
I'm really happy with my purchase!
Set me back eighty four bucks, I love it though, and think it's worth it.
It has that nice bowl, idk for sure if it's an ash catcher, a sweet diffuser infused stem, that cool swirly double percolator thing, and a great ice catcher. 
What should I name it?
I have to think about it.
