So, I have a question about my light. The bulb keeps shutting off 10-20 seconds into warmup, and I can't figure out why. I'll turn it off, let it cool down for about 5 minutes, and then turn it back on, and it'll turn on and warm up all the way...
Anyone ever have this problem? This is my first HID light i've ever owned, and I'm kinda lost on it... I want to make sure everything is ready and working properly before I start my plants...

Sounds like it could be a problem with the ballast and not the bulb. If the bulb starts to warmup and then shuts off the ballast is probably overheating.

It doesn't seem to FEEL too hot... How would I test this to figure out is my ballast is bad?
