 MH Bulb?

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is a dumb question. As some of you are aware, I have a 400w HPS running over my system. I was wondering for future reference, if HPS and MH bulbs are interchangeable on the same setup? For example, would it work to merely take out my HPS bulb and replace it with an MH to improve vegetative growth, then switch back to HPS for flowering? Or do you need a transformer especially designed for MH bulbs?

Unless you buy a conversion bulb, of which I am only aware of an HPS model that exists, the answer is no. You can buy switchable ballasts where you can use whichever bulb you want. But I would assume you don't have one.

Yeah check the box the ballast came in or the ballast itself. It should tell you whether or not you can use both types of bulbs.
