 Got a new HPS MH combo light But I need HELP with it.

So I got this off craigslist and it works every time I plug it in with the HPS bulbs
But these ceramic Metal Halides do not always turn on when I plug it in.
I have to plug it in un plug it take bulb out put it back in plug it in, hit it a bunch,
Tighten loosen it and sometimes it just works,
Then if I unplug it and plug it back in, NOTHING.
Why is it doing this?

you need to let an HID system rest for like 10-20 minutes before trying to restart it

Your bulbs may be too old, buy some new MH bulbs other wise its a repalceable electic componet, if you have a digital ballast with no warranty, then your fucked.
