 I need to take life less seriously..

Whether I finally manage to learn to do it on my own, or through medication, because life just stresses me out, way too much. The anxiety and nervousness is bad enough, but the way I handle stress, is probably what messes me up the most. I feel like one day, something sooooooo fucking ridiculous might happen, that my brain just won't be able to process it, and I'll just lose my fucking mind, or have an aneurysm on the spot..
This world is too fucked up for me to take it all seriously, without endangering my mental health.

Yeah, I hear ya, dude.
What helps me is to take concrete steps towards making myself better.
For me, that's doing proactive things, like eating well and deleting my facebook

Do you play an instrument cage? One of the best things I can recommend to get your mind off things, relieve stress, ect.

I mix a little dubstep, I do a bunch of editing and rearranging to make it the way I think is perfect. I'm gonna finally start learning to produce in a couple days

I just mentioned it because it was something that personally helped me.
Facebook can actually be some very serious business, that's part of
the reason I got rid of it. My whole point was to work on things that
would be helpful.

At some point in my early teenage years I all of a sudden stopped taking lifeso seriously (weed played a big part in this change) since then I'm never depressed, rarely stressed, no anxiety, more confidence, and have a lot less anger issues. Life just seems better and I'm much happier. Probably the hardest thing about not taking life seriously is the lack of motivation which is a real bitch to deal with...

werd. whatever you do, don't give in to the convenience of psychologists and pharmaceuticals. I was a psych major my 1st year of college and I know a lot of psych grads and I can tell you it's all bullshit and they don't care about your problems. As far as I'm concerned, pharms are the enemy. All those pills and side-effects, it's a vicious cycle that turns people into zombies. It was very sad for me to learn that my friends get antidepressants and antianxiety prescriptions. Read a captivating book, pick up a challenging hobby, or go meet cool people. And yea, this world is fucked up.

My problem is that I think too much, I obsess over every tiny little detail of my life, that plus constant anxiety and nervousness. I think what I just need to do is find a balance, I have hobbies and everything, I work out, but there's a part of me that's just empty, and that might be what's behind my obsessive thinking and anxiety, since I'm rarely ever content anymore.
And about psychologists/therapists/etc, I'd have to give THEM my own kind of psyche evaluation before I could ever let them try to get in my head..

you sound rational enough, you seem like you know what to change. Just chill out, try meditation. Relax every part of your being with your mind's eye. Almost all our problems stem from some sort of fear, usually fear of death or being alone. Fear is the mindkiller.
