Would be interesting to hear what their responses are.  I personally think kids shouldn't be there.

I've been to a few festivals before but they were music and art.  Nothing like burning man.

We are doing our own thing.  I don't think it's goign to be a theme camp or anything though.  How does it work once we get in through the gate?  I mean do they ask about your entourage then 'seat' you somewhere?  Or is it like a free for all?

I know they release advanced addresses for most of the moderately sized camps and installation, but not sure if this option is open to everyone or general campers

What do you think the age cut off should be? I don't think anyone under like 16ish should go. Anyone under that wouldn't be able to sustain themselves if left alone.

  we have 15 year olds who are circumnavigating the globe in sail boats by themselves.  I think younger kids than 16 would be ok there.  But again, having never been i can't really say.  I just wanted to draw that comparison.

there's some extremely wild stuff going on, out in the open, at burning man: like some hardcore bondage play.  Really, growing up was confusing enough without seeing some old dodger getting lead around by his prince albert

This "trip" is going to be amazing, I have never been, and have only seen pictures and heard stories to judge it on, so I'm trying to go with a completely open mind, with no expectations.
as far as kids go, I'm planning on taking lotsa L.S.D. and shrooms, I personally dont like to be around children when I'm on those kinds of levels.

At burning man I saw kids that where just 1 there.

They actually have a kid camp zone, and naked people are supposed to avoid going near there if possible, ironically I saw a hell of a lot of naked people walking through there too

Well if you don't want your kids to see naked people burning man is probably not the best vacation choice.
