I really do wonder how many pot advocates think like this. They are missing the point. This is a fucking human rights issue. Drug and pot advocates should be advocating human rights, not a particular drug they enjoy. That's part of the fucking problem right there!

So? Like shrooms said. isn't that their own fault? Shouldn't they be held accountable for their actions? Is it the government's responsibility to educate us about drugs? I don't really think so. Furrowedbrow you're totally right man. Who's to say which drugs are ok and which are not ok to use? I still agree though with most of what this dude in the video says. Yeah he's only really backing pot rather than all drugs, but hes mainly directing his frustration at how alcohol can be legal given the current drug laws.

People should have complete dominion over whatever they put in their bodies whether it's heroin, cyanide, broccoli or whatever- It's your body, you should own it, not the fucking government. But if people use other arguments to get weed legalized I don't fucking care. I want weed legal and I don't care what method people use to get it done. I will lie and distort my own position it if it helps bring others to the cause. Social movements happen in baby steps. The slaves had to be freed before a black president was elected.

I don't think this issue is about distilled drugs.
Marijuana is one of the few drugs that is used as is.
It isn't altered in any way and has no harmful side effects
Heroin and Cocaine have to be distilled in some way
and can kill you in high doses, that is the main difference I think
Marijuana is the MOST HARMLESS DRUG anyone can consume....
can you say the same thing about heroine or cocaine?
We have to realize that marijuana is NOTHING like H or C
Politicians (and people like yourself) think that there is no difference in between weed and H/C and there is a HUGE difference in them.

Im not saying that H/C should be illegal, just that you can't compare weed to them.

Processed drugs like powder/crack cocaine, meth or heroine are NOT in the same category as weed

I do think that we shouldn't lump them all together. Whether or not it's a human right issue I do believe its detrimental to the marijuana movement. Its a battle I think we should take up after we win the current one with marijuana. Too much at once is not a good idea. Opinions take time to change.

oh let me clarify, i meant its a fact that cannabis isn't as harmful as heroin. I'm not sure about the harms of cannabis tbh. also, this is more of a thought experiment than anything else. it will take a radical change in thought for everyone in the country (if not the world) for all drugs to be legal and i dont see that happening any time soon.

You use those words as if they're synonyms.
And alcohol is the only thing you listed that is distilled.
Distilling refers to a specific process of vaporization and condensation.
Refined perhaps is the word you're looking for?
