 Making hash from buds

i have 2 oz of some decent nug i want to turn into hash. Any advice on what method to use? What kind of yield can i expect? Is making hash from buds a waste of buds?

its not a waste of buds, but i would just smoke em personally. Make butane hash oil. look it up  .

10-15% of the dried weight of your buds. I shoot for the 10% because anything over that feels like a bonus
So, put 28 gms of bud in, expect 2.8 gms of hash out.

I thought 10% was the figure to expect from using shake? I could be wrong?

I reckon 10-15% is to be expected when making solvent hash. Drysift and bubble are less in my experience. Drysift is more like 5-7%, bubble being 8-10%. Results will vary, some strains are better hash producers per gram of bud. Some strains yield very little bud but may produce twice as much hash. The more bags you use with bubble the less hash you will seem to get. This is because more of the unwanted plant material is filtered out and your final product will be more pure when you use more bags. I use 2 x 220 and 2 x 190, and sometimes I double up the others as I have 2 sets of bags and some change. Some people who only use 2 bags will boast there superior yields but I prefer to have superior quality.

If you are planning on making hash in the future than invest in some ice-hash bags or kief screens.
BHO is very potent, but I don't want to smoke it constantly. Ice hash and kief, on the other hand, taste and smoke wonderfully.
