I hate it when people hit the bong wrong.

Maybe I do it wrong...but I can't stand when people inhale to fill up the chamber, and then exhale, then clear it. Shouldn't it all be done in one smooth motion?

I fill it up and clear it without taking my mouth off to exhale before its cleared...isn't that how you're supposed to hit a bong?

I can understand if its a new piece and you can't really gauge how to fill it up just yet, but if you've had it and know how it hits, hit the bong right :mad2:

Yes and no depends on the size of the bong. For example a 6ft bong, if you want to get the biggest hit you can you're going to want to take another breath :awehigh:

There is no governing body in smoking cannabis.  Nothing is wrong, only different.  I light the bowl and suck.  then exhale and put my hand over the top of the bong spout.  once i recover from that I take another.  I can get a few good hits in from one light of the bowl.  :shrug:  I don't really think it's right or wrong, just my way.  and im sure a bunch of others do the same.

i usually do it like that, but i've never heard anyone cry over bong etiquette. it's just less smoke at once, and it's less harsh. i'd rather take two or three small hits that don't tear up my throat than one big one.

You can smoke your own weed however you want, but I do hate when people do this in an obvious attempt to get some "extra."  As in, using the whole first breath to fill the chamber, then exhale almost so smoke, so they can get a huge hit the second time.  It's the kind of "cheating" utilized by those people who don't buy their own weed.

Theres nothing wrong with this, but why not just only fill it up like a quarter of the way, and then finish it up like I mentioned?

IMO the smoke goes stale real fast when it sits in the bong.

Also, don't take my frustration personally :lol: its just how I roll.

it doesn't go stale if you do it quick enough, and too much smoke :feelsbadman:

i guess if you just do it the same way your whole life you don't think about it, but anything more than 2 feet and i must do it that way otherwise it's just too much to do in one motion.

Granted it is annoying when people do inconsiderate shit with your stash (hitting the bowl and keeping the lighter on it the whole time, wet liping the joint horribly, microphoning)

I didn't know there was a wrong way to hit a bong so long as the end result was you getting high.

From what I've observed you hit it, take the chamber out, clear it, then put the chamber back in and pass it back.  But these(like most cannabis rituals) are unwritten laws that most people who aren't used to smoking in a group or smoking out of bongs or just new to smoking weed aren't aware of.

My biggest pet peeve with bongs is disgusting brown water that no one ever cleans out.

In my experience lots of people hit bongs like this.  I think its more for the youth because they like the novelty of a big bong and with a big bong you dont want a ton of smokeless air.  When I was a kid and I hit big bongs thats what I would do too.  Now though, I prefer a smaller bong with virtually no chamber space so I dont hit it like that.

i pack 1 hitters. light it up draw in to fill the chamber, exhale the smokeless air threw the nose & then finish off the rest of the rest of the bowl pack. the exhaling s simply to get rid of the wasted lung space & fill it with smoke.

Yeah, when its just me I pack little snaps. Thats much better and I can enjoy the taste every time I hit the bowl. However, when its a party of like 3+ people, we just pack a monster bowl and pass it around :shrug:

I like filling up a hit, exhaling what I have in my lungs (because it is largely air) and then inhaling the smoke so I have as dense smoke in my lungs as I can.

(totally bullshiting that, but regardless I usually do exactly what you said).
