Help with understand the importance of no light leakage.

I don't quite understand how it needs to be completely dark while in the lights off hours. Cause I am growing in my closet and it is pretty dark in there at night when I close the door. But What I want to really know is will any little bit of light effect the plant when flowering? For the most part its completely dark in the closet when the door is shut but if I turn the light on in my room from the inside of my closet(with the door shut) you can see the light around the edges of the door but it doesn't really light up the grow area.

If your plant gets any more light than the moon would generate in the dark period during flowering it can cause a hermi, so as long as they aren't getting much direct light they should be ok, but that being said try to make sure there are no light leaks and if you must look at them during lights off, use a green bulb

Well the green light spectrum is the only one that a Marijuana plant doesn't use, so you can use it when you wanna go into your grow room during lights off.
I guess you could put it as your main room light, my friend did it for a while. But after a night or two you'll get really sick of it

That will be strain dependent. For most strains, you should notice a quick stretching period of rapid upward growth when flowering is initiated. Budsites will begin to form within a week, evidenced by a tightening of nodal spacing (more compacted growth at branch tips). Clusters of fresh stigma (hairs) and calyx (ie. buds) should make their presence very apparent within two weeks. Longer flowering period (eg. sativa dominant) or sexually immature plants may take longer to show visible signs of bud formation.

it shouldnt cause any problems as long as you dont let it get that high on a regular basis, go for max temps of 78f.

nah, you can go higher then that with no issues. Mid 80's is fine, 78 is optimal.
