 Southeast Gathering.

With a lot of members here being from the southeast I can remember a couple or so failed attempts at getting a SE gathering together.
It's the Shroomery but most here are dual members anyway. Anyone considering this?
Looks like a potentially good time that's gonna actually happen this time.

hmm if it was like north georgia appalachia I'd be down but I don't know about driving all the way to north carolina. They're talking about this upcoming friday right?

Not sure. I quit following the thread early on since I know I'm going to be home bound anyway.
It is in the south western mountain part of NC though if I'm not mistaken so maybe not as far away from you as you may be thinking. I live in NC and it's good 3+ hour drive from me.

I would keep the location and who you inform to pm`s and to those who have been members for awhile and have a good rating and maybe check the ratings on their profile to see if others have put things that could be of importance to other members. I hope the punch in the face thing was a joke. We are suppose to be better and want to advance our cause and love. Think of what the news papers would write
A group of potheads today was arrested for having a gang fight at what was supposed to be a peaceful gathering. The anti mj people would have a field day with that one.
If you can not leave your baggage at the door then maybe they should not be there. I am not trying to say who should not go or go but lets just try to get along at things like this. I have been to enough parties in my time where a fight ruined the fun(and I had my fair share of fights too)and people got hurt and hauled off to jail, not how you want a get together to end right .

Seriously though. I understand that these things usually go pretty smooth with the exception of one a few years back where a member shot himself. That was pretty horrible for all involved I gather.
Kilroy gives good advice. As a matter of fact, the upcoming gathering that this thread is about has instructions about specifics. Be sure to read the whole thread if planning on attending.

No. The type of people who go to the gatherings arent the kind of people who start shit. Ive been to a good number of gatherings and never once seen or heard of any kind of conflict. Bunch of drugged up hippies.

One of the prime examples of why I don't really hang out on the shroomery. Is it me, or is that place fucking stupid? I've only got like 50 posts over there, and most are in security forums and shit like that. I like the idea of people being peaceful n shit and not even having people that noone on the boards likes there at all. Just my opinion anyway.
But for real, someone shot themselves at a gathering once?????? Like for real??
