I suppose it would be much more accurate to say that I have come in direct contact with poison ivy on several occasions while growing up and had never experienced any symptoms one should expect from it. Poison oak was another story and my forearms were both having a very bad time.

I should have avoided such strong wording for a claim like that when in reality it may be little more than sheer dumb luck. I am open to the possibility that I may not be in fact 'immune' to it, or have any kind of special resistance. Sloppy penmanship on my part.
