this is one of the best beers i have ever had.
it tastes amazing, and also smells like fresh marijuana.

It does smell very very hoppy, which is what you are smelling Hops are related to cannabis.

Yep, now your task is to find a strain that matches the falvor, and you're in heaven.
I think the similarity to cannabis flavor/odor is the reason that I love hugely hopped IPAs so much.

Hops and cannabis are the only two plants in the Cannabinacea family.

But unfortunately recent genetic data shows that Cannabis and hops diverged pretty far back, and so in terms of its eveolution, cannabis should properly be classified as a relative of the _______ (I'm blanking on it, it's in the Encyclopoedia of Psychoactive Plants)
Still, the aromatic resemblance can be astounding.

humboldt brewing company makes a very good hemp ale. Its one of my favs.

i saw some website once claiming u could cut a weed plant off at its stem, put some rooting hormone on it, cut the top off a hops plant and connect to it the weed plant stem and it'd grow hops with thc. still wondering if that'd actually work or not.,

the smell was glorious, i left a bit in the bottom of my mug to swirl it around and sniff all the rest of the evening!!!
omg, i am going to go on a tour of this brewery when i turn 21 this summer w00t

I agree that it doesn't smell the same, but the flavors are certainly the same. Good IPAs taste like good weed.
