Compost generally has more nutrients but it is mostly the genetics that determine bud quaility.

They pump cornfields so full of nutrients you do not really need to add compost.

You must live in Nebraska!

I would go for the compost, only for the reason that they probably put pesticides in the cornfields and you don't want that shit growing with your weed.

Compost will be higher in over all nutrients and minerals. While the corn field soil will be fairly depleated of nutes and minerals.

So yes the composted soil will be a better choice as is. The feild soil can also be used for growing but will need to some help.

And welcome to the Growery patrickosti !

Yeah if you have it available go with some nice compost. You could even fortify it even further but if it's good fresh stuff from last years pile it should be just dandy.

You guys know that they put so much nutrients into cornfields they only fertilize once, and corn needs more nutes than pot.

Ok, well .........

5 gallon buckets would be fine to grow in. The thing your missing is that to get a QP out of each plant, your gonna have to worry about more then soil. Either of the soils you mentioned would be more then adequate, first off. The plant genetics will also play a major role in how much you end up with as far as final product. Lighting is another issue, in order for the genetics to live up to full potentials your gonna need some strong lighting. And then you have the pests and feeding to worry about.

So to sum this all up, your gonna need to worry about more then soil here for your expectations. All factors are gonna determine the amount you get in the end! Do some reading here on the site or find a good cannabis horticulture book and do your research. The more you know, the better your gonna do!

God luck!
