lol me too. it's funny, when I first started growing I was all about how cool the flowers look, but after I learned more about plant physiology (and not just for weed, in all my biology classes) I get far more turned on nowadays by healthy roots and fat stems. :lol:

I cant even pick them up anymore because the roots are very anchored, but if roots turn you on ill be sure to post pics when its harvest time

Ok then here is another update for everybody,the plants are 3 weeks into flowering today. Had some pretty good heat stress going on so I raised the light a final time pretty much all the way to the top. As you can see the plants are now full into bud production lets hope that they stay that way......

keep your fingers crossed for me to get 2 per plant....

Looks good.  They didn't branch out as much as I thought they would.  Stretching should be coming to an end for you now.  Looks like bud production is off to a nice start.  I told you they would get big on you!!!

I'd like to see a shot w/ the flash when the HPS is off.  It's hard to guage a plants health in that lighting.  I'm thinking you'll probably get around 2 per.

2 per would make me a VERY happy man, how thick do the buds get anyway? When do they put on the most weight? Im not home during the day so those pics you want might have to wait until next weekend.

their just getting started with flower production my man. now that the stretch is done pretty much ALL the energy they were using to grow taller and wider is going into flowers and resin. in the next 4-6 weeks you're really going to see these babies blow up. In that first picture you posted, check out the main stalk right in the center of the frame. right now it's got about 8 little individual budsites, but as the grow progresses you'll see those all meld together as they get bigger into one long nug. that's how you end up with these;

Thanks Harry, your much more of an expert grower than I am. I just hope to get a good yield, I am going to putting a down payment on a house in a few months and then ill start a 60-120 site system.....

that should make for a kick ass journal!

Look towards the very end to find the weight you desire. I believe that 25% of the weight is put on in the final 2 weeks. Do you have a 30x microscope or jeweler's lens? If you want to get the optimal weight without sacrificing headhigh, def. get one of those.

Just joined and you have caught my eye already, lookin' beautiful. I see absolutely no reason why you can't consider 2 O's a plant minimum yield at this point. You would have to really screw up to not get that.

they look much better than the pictures show, with the HPS on its hard to take pictures that auto focus based on light conditions. I need to get a higher quality camera so you can see everything that I do.

Id like to thank everybody for all of the posts and information. For my first aerogro I could not have hoped for more. Lets hope that this continues all the way through harvest.

Does anybody want to recommend a strain for my next go around? Im going to start the next one literally right after this one, and ill just keep on going for a few journals so I can have a reference while I really tune this system in.

So I have a question for everyone and anyone who wants to answer. I have had my PH stable at 5.8-6.3 but for some reason my PPM keeps rising. It's only about 1000 ppm and every day it increases by 20-50. Shouldn't it be decreasing since it is a relatively low in the first place?

well first 1000ppm is pretty much considered a full strength feeding for heavy-consuming plants. I wouldn't recommend bumping it up too much more than that. But your ppm is rising because your plants are transpiring very heavily in your warm room. they're much bigger now and all that leaf surface area means more water getting evaporated from the stomata. it's nothing to worry about, they're just using more water than nutes at this point.

Alright everybody time for my weekly update. I think they are looking very nice for only 4 weeks into flowering! 4 weeks today that is, I expect them to get really really fat by the time I harvest, and I expect you all to assure me of that....

I am aiming for a P, if I dont manage a P this time im going to convert another closet (not as big) for another few plants so I can reach my pound mark. Enjoy the pics and leave me plenty of comments for the AM
