Friend of mone says stickin pot youve harvested in the freezer gunna turn it purple and that thats a marketing scheme. Is this true kinda not believin it

I stuck a whole plant in a fridge once to see if it would turn purple and it does, plus if you have weed outside and you have an early almost freeze, the plants get purple hues. The easiest way to tell if its real or fake is splice a nug in half horizontally, then if the purple comes from the inside to the outside its real, if it goes from outside to inside than its just from the temperature.

I'm pretty sure this only works for live plants though. If it's been harvested, dried and cured then there's no way to turn it purple.
