 Quick question about seeds

If you where to buy 10 white widow seeds online(random males and females).
Out of the 10, 5 lived. 3 Where females, 2 male. if you grew all 5 out and just let the male grow with the females is that bad?
Does it involve the female producing seeds at all?
Does it have any effect?

It is bad if you are trying to grow potent seedless bud. If males are left to mature, they will pollinate the females near them and the females will then start using energy to produce seeds, taking away from energy that would have been producing buds whose purpose is to get larger and sticky to catch pollen. That is why male plants are culled out of cannabis gardens.

Well lets say I let the 2 males pollinate the 3 females. At the point I may have a little less bud, however it will give me a lot more seeds to grow more of the plant.
Is that correct?

Yes, exactly, and if you are so privileged to have a large area to grow out a shit ton of seedlings you could then take the most vigorous or potent plant to grow and clone it 'til kingdom come!

Yeah, unfortunately I cant really grow much more then 6 plants in my grow room.
However, I was thinking with all the seeds I get ill save them up. Then later on when I wanna grow that strain again, I have enough seeds of the plant to do so.

No, what you want to do is remove the males and paint the pollen on the buds you want to seed.
Reason for this is if you just plain leave the male plants there are going to be so many seeds it will be work to clean the buds just to get smoke.

Not only that but you'll have some much residual pollen leftover it will be a nightmare for your future grows unless you scrub the shit out of your entire grow area.

Well if I where to have 2 growing rooms(One for buds, one for seeds). I could use the room for seeding to stock up on seeds, then the other room for just female plants.

I put one male in with 5 females. Got almost 5 oz's seed. I'll never use that many seeds or do that again.
Your on the right track with 2 grow rooms. one for females and one for males. Collect pollen and paint on as Magash said. Will produce all the seed you need.

"paint the buds"? i've heard the method of putting a ziplock bag over a bud and doing it. but does this way work better? and how exactly do you do it?
and would the one bud that you did that to pollinate others?

I believe you collect the pollen in something like film canister and dip something like a q-tip in the canister. Then you just apply the pollen to the buds you want to seed.

wow if you dont already have two grow rooms get rid of the males. its not smart to breed plants if you are inexperienced. your gonna wind up with 5 male plants or a shit ton of crappy weed...
