Well me and the Doc worked everything out and I'll be releasing a new line up of seeds threw the Doc sometime around the fall of 2010. Need a name so I've come up with either Cali Connection Seeds or Stateside Seeds.
New strains soon to be released
Sweet 16--Mikado X Sweet Tooth #3 (I've had this one out for a while now)
Cannibal--OG Kush x Chem Dawg
Man Eater--Green Crack x Sour Diesel
Gina--Sweet 16 X GDP x Trainwreck
Purple Monster--Purple Kush x GDP x Purple Erkle X Mendocino Purps
Stabilizing of the strains is going on now and all strains will be feminized.

Was a good time. I plan to have pics up soon. Just have to get up off my lazy ass and dig the camera out of the luggage,
The main point of the trip was to talk to Doc. I've been releasing seeds threw the clubs for years and he has been bugging me to get off my ass and do seeds for years. Gonna be interesting to see how this works out.

Just finishing up the new strains. I won't let the seeds go till they do every single thing I say they do in the descriptions. Sometime around Feb I'm gonna have free seeds for you guys but know this, there free cause you guys are gonna be the Ginny pigs and do my testing. I've done most the work already you guys are just a quality test. Germ rates, how the buds look from a certain strain with different growers.

What I'm gonna do is come right here and put up a thread when I need the testers. There is gonna be plenty of seeds for testing since my main focus is gonna be the seeds now, Mini-Maggie is taking over the rest of the grows starting now. Sweet 16 is Mikado x Sweet Tooth #3
Mikado is a Sweet Pink Grape Fruit x Blueberry
In total it works out to about 25% Sativa. The Sativa came out in the leaves but the budding stayed indica in style. This allows the light to get all the way down giving the plants that pole look.

Nah, I'll have plenty before that. I still have to finish up some of the strains. Get the numbers of seeds that I need and get the packaging design all finished.
I also want to do my own versions of some of the popular strains and some skunks. I want my version of skunk to be more the roadkill skunk rather then the sweet version that has taken over. Some work I wanna do to the blueberry strain and so on.

Nah, I have a couple of side projects going with South African Sativas right now. They finish in the time of a indica but are pure Sativa.
What I'm doing is trying to pin down the flowering time of the South African Sativas into the more well known Sativa strains. Example I want a faster flowering Thai strain. I've only been at this a few months so it still has a good year or two ahead of it.

Doc is great choice too, I've had nothing but good experiences buying from him in the past.
Sweet16, Gina, and Man Eater are sounding 
Even though SOG isn't my style those Sweet16 genetics make my mouth water.
I only grow to supply myself and I don't live in one of the more progressive states so I have to keep my numbers down. I train my plants into flat topped bushes to get the most out of each one. Which strains have some decent branching and would do well with topping/LST?

Doc is a very cool guy. Known him since he was a traveling seed salesman in the late 80s. He use to go to all the shows and sell seeds at a little booth he set up. Then he opened his head shop and sells the seeds from there now.

I'd have to say she is a mid range plant. Not packed like most indicas but she won't stretch a whole lot.

I haven't been able to find the stuff. Colored fungicide isn't out at many places. He's getting it made. Same with Henke at Dutch Passion but he hates my guts so that's a no go asking him.

Hmm..
Well color can be added to most powders easily.
All you need to do is find your fungicides, hormones or whatever, dry mycorise, whatever you want and then mix with some sort of filler if needed and your dry dye... then find a sticking agent if needed.
The sticking agent would probably be the hard part.

Oh believe me I kept the old version. I added some Purple Kush to the new version. Just to shorten it a bit and ad a bit more color to it. No name as of yet and it needs a bit more testing but the basics are done.

so magash what's the largest size you've grown sweet16 to? I would love to do some 5 gallon containers and grow a 4 foot long nug on a stick but I'm sure that wouldn't be the most effective way to grow a scrog plant like that. thoughts?

Well it won't grow like a stick from seed. You would have to ad a true hemp plant (and some have done it) but there is no way I'll cross that line. I got the plant to be very low branching and that took forever but it will grow into a normal plant when given space and is a pretty good yielder. Since it takes a bit to branch the plant has a very cone shape to it when it gets taller.
To get the most from it as a larger plant I would top it one or even two times to get the full yield.

oh ok... it kinda looks like a giant stick-bud in those pictures you posted earlier in this thread, but I can't really tell the scale too easily. are those 1 gallon pots? and did you manually remove any side branches, or was it just that they were flowered early to prevent branching?

4x4 with 64 plants could just be doubled for the 4x8'
I'm sure he's done sweet 16 under 400s, 600s, and 1000s and 1000s side by side.
breaks down to 4 plants per sq ft and 4x4' per 1kw bulb.

I need to find a company that sells grow bags that are 1 gallon, but only 4-5 inches across... That way I could fit 8 more plants into my grow box.

Lol... I used milk gallons, painted them black, and cut the very top off. Works fucking awesome because it has a handle, plus they are square so I can pack them close and gain more rootspace. A circle has much less area than a square that can fit in the same space. Am I confusing?

Some people will argue that they get better yields when their roots are established and no longer growing in their pots.
I haven't been growing long enough to tell for myself. But this is coming from very seasoned commercial growers.

I've noticed a DIRECT correlation with the size of my yields and the size of my containers....
For example, with my current grow, I didn't want to transplant until sex had been established, so some of them are still in 16oz cups.
The plants are the right height for their age, yet the foliage has almost been "miniaturized"... The leaves are all small, about 3" long, but as soon as I transplanted up to 1 gallon when sex was determined, the leaves and stems almost instantly (2 days) became much larger, although the plant didn't grow much taller, the vegetation just became larger and more mature looking, thus making the plant look more full and large.
That's just an example but I notice the same thing every single time I choose to use small containers. I just picture the plant as having as many roots below the surface as the amount of leaves/branches above the surface... ya know what i'm saying?

Yes sir. A pot in the shape of a cube with a side length of 2 feet holds 8 cubic feet. A cylindrical pot with base diameter of 2 feet and a height of 2 feet holds 6.283. So it holds 27% more.

When your roots fill your pot and don't have more medium to grow in or space in the pot ... your plants will grow more rapidly than if the medium/pot allows for more root growth.
I don't know if this is true but it makes sense to me. Esp in a sog.

I thought the plant grew concurrently with the tap root. Thus, more leaves could create more food to accommodate for the rapid growth underground.
All I know is that plant growth is highly reflective of root growth. And, specifically, the tap root must be large to accommodate for a larger plant.

I like the discussion here. When i read this thread late on saturday night I had a hard time not posting. then a hard time getting to sleep. If there's room put me down! I would move em to the top of the list of seeds to go. Over the last two months ive collected a fair few choice genetics. Id love to add a few of yours to the list. Best of luck man!
