Marc Emery, a man who I find no fault with, is reporting to a Vancouver courtroom tomorrow for sentencing. He will be given 5 years and extradited to the UNITED STATES even though he is a Canadian resident and citizen. This is due to the Bush administration's previous actions and the old DEA.

I wouldnt be surprised if his sentence was reduced though cause im sure he has connections to good lawyers and such

I agree. For those of you who care what happens to people in general, let alone someone who hasn't done anything wrong regarding the alleged conviction, you can easily and smoothly call your state senator.
If you feel this way you could tell them the following:
1. I'm aware of a Canadian resident and citizen being extradited to American for shipping plant seeds that America has forbidden
2. I don't believe extradition is appropriate for this circumstance (he's not anything close to a terrorist, etc)
3. He is plea-bargaining because that's all he's been left with
4. Ask for a presidential pardon (in which the senator would directly email or speak with President Obama)
Thank them for listening. Be polite. Be sincere if you are sincere about it. But be bold!
