so i'm resuming a project i did a grow ago.
F1 - (master kush) x (orange crush) - "Big Momma" F2 - the result of 3 F1 males and 2 F1 females bred openly
im sprouting a group of the F2s now. I'm considering this a long term project and what i'm trying to decide is whether to split off into two populations or not
if i split into two populations, my thinking is that i can concentrate on separate things for each (and preserve traits that i am currently unable to get in just two parents), and when i get the two populations how i want them, i can then cross them back in to create a new F1. i'm just not sure.....do i keep selecting two parents from each generation to create the next, or do i take my large F2 group and select 4 parents to create two separate populations to stabilize and eventually cross together.
koons, magash, etc, your thoughts would be appreciated.

Myself I'd go with two sets of parents then cross together. You'll get to the same point just in a bit faster time.
