So my last harvest came out pretty well, good smoke, heavy stone, nice look... but the one thing it was weak on was smell. After i cut the stem and trimmed them i hang dried the buds for 7 days after which i put them in glass jars. I want to know how i can get a better smelling bud. i bought florilicious this time around to mix in with my standard nutrients (General Hydroponics: grow,bloom, and micro), it says it promotes flower size and smell.

seems to me that its mostly genetics...unless you have some kind of spray-on smells to add after harvest

i had the same problem when i used fans in the drying room, best ive found for preserving smell is to hang them for 24 hrs then take a paper bag and clip it over them where they are hanging for another 48 and then finish the curing in mason jars

yeah ive noticed that fans blowing directly on drying buds will take some of the smell away......but for packin in more arome use different flowering nutes that promotes smell and flavor of your fruits.....cure longer.....even toss in some fruit peels while curing.....if all else fails use tastey puff.......or get a different strain, one that suites your aroma needs.......

its these little bottles that they sell at headshops that you can spray on your herbs to provide them with flavor......and they have like 30 different flavors

yeah, ive never even tried them.....but it could be a last resort to flavor your weed if it tastes like shit for some reason.....it seems like it would be descent for flavoring brick weed tho....

ya i used tasty puffs on one of my last plant from my last grow, for some reason when it dried it lost its nice skunky aroma and picked up this funky one; i checked it for mold or any signs of something but could find nothing, good smoke though. i bought some extra nutes this time (floralicious for flowering, im gonna try the paper bag method super mentioned, it never hurts to know another way of doing something.
