1) Yes, that is where you look for balls/hairs. Nice pic btw.
2) You should start to see preflowers at around a month in veg but it can vary widely by strain.
3) When to switch into flower is based on a couple factors. How much space do you have? Plants generally grow 1/2-2/3 of their final height in the month after you switch into 12/12, make sure you can accommodate. If space isn't an issue, you can switch the lighting cycle as soon as the plant reaches sexual maturity. Signs of which include, change from opposite to alternating branch pattern, and preflowers. Apart from that, you can veg an extended period of time if you want a bigger plant which can in some cases mean a larger yield.
Well hopefully I will be getting more room soon, May 1st I am moving into a new apartment, and I think I'm going to use a closet for a grow room.
Yea, it took me forever to get a pic of the part I was looking at. But then I found this cool looking flower button on my camera and it works like a charm!
But when can I start to flower?
Do I "have" to wait until they reach sexual maturity before I switch it to 12/12?
And if I do start to flower early how long until I know if they are males or females?
Alright, thanks for the advice. Its probably a good idea to wait and keep them kinda short cuz I'm going to have to transport them in my car over to my new place.....and transporting 4 ft. plants is gonna be hard to conceal. So I think I will just switch them over when I get to my new place.
