making Sativas stretch less?
    #203237 - 03/05/09 08:01 AM (15 years, 1 month ago)

What are some methods of making sativa platns stretch less, mainly in flowering, without reducing harvest amounts by a ton.

i have read some stuff about not fertilizing during various stages of flowering, or at lest lower N.  Also rubbing the stems above the nodes....anyone tried these, or other, methods?

PS. i am using scrog, but still worried about height constraints in a cab grow.

You could try just flowering them very early. Veg for about a week from seed and then give them the flip to 12/12. That might help you a bit. With a scrog though you should be fine. You are just going to have to be diligent in your training.

i hope so....however with my current filter/fan setup i just lost 20" of height.....until i get something better put together anyway.  so bottom to top i have about 45", minus another 6 for lights, that leaves 39"

thats running it way too damn short....the more i look at those numbers the more i squint my eyes lol.

I know i am going to have to gain at least most of that 20" waste from the filter.....(its a 5 gallon bucket).  arg.....should have made the cab taller.
