 Instead of getting a fefund I owe

I guess I fucked up when I filled out some paper work at my job. I've never owed but I owe 618 and have no intention on paying anything maybe eventually but I figure I can got to Human Resources and change my shit so I don't owe and they can take it out of next years refund. So what happens when you don't pay?

It may take them awhile longer than you'd expect, but they WILL get their money. They will send the repo men to your house. I know because this exact thing happened to my uncle last year. He is a silly fuck.

But why wouldn't they just take it my from pay check or let me make payments it's not that I'm never gonna pay it just not this year. I just can't do it now I'm not even getting my full 40 hrs at work because of this whole economic situation.

They will find you, even for $618. A guy here got his car taken away but then quickly paid them to get it back.

I have owed before, and I was able to set up a payment plan to pay the amount in full within 4-6 months I forget which exactly.
But about a month before the date came due, I called those money grubbin bitches and told them that I didn't have it and I needed an extension, after a while(a long ass while, this is the govt) on the phone I was able to set up an arrangement to pay when I recieved next years refund.
From what I understand this isn't a "service" that they advertise, but given that your tax debt is pretty small, I doubt they will send repo men to your door.
Most likely you will get several threating letters, and then a ding on your credit, and some kind of lein on future refunds before the repo men are sent.
Just to give you an idea about how slow these people are, I forgot to file my tax return a few years ago, and it took over 2 years to get a phone call or letter "reminding" me to file.
In a nutshell, call them and explain the situation, and ask if it can be taken out of next years refund. If they say no, get on the payment plan and stall stall stall, the year will be over before you notice.

I'd rather them deduct it from next year's refund I'm gonna go to HR and change my exemptions to 0 I had too many which is why I owe.

yeah, but you still gotta be proactive and call them.
If they know what your planning then barring buracratic disfunction you should be left alone for the year.
what I normally do is claim 0 and then at the end of the year I file with my deductions, so that I get a return.
