I'm pretty sure they still own greenery.org. If I remember correctly several domains were purchased before the decision was made.

The Greenery was in fact the first suggested name by Thor when he brought up the idea in February 2006 and the Weedery was the first domain we actually registered for this project in July of 2006. After a large polling of our memberbase on the Shroomery, Growery became the most popular name which ended up being the one we ran with.
Unfortunately, Greenery.com was already registered and the owner of the domain requested US$ 75,000 to transfer it into our name.
That's just a li'l bit out of budget range, know what I'm sayin'?
