i think every year there are probably only a handful of films that are good
and that goes for every year in the past as well
just because there have been some epic films over the past 60 years
doesnt mean all new movies suck
its just how the industry goes, not everything is gold

Role models is alright, definitely worth watching.
burn after reading was pretty good.
slumdog millionaire will score you some points with an indy/worldy chick.
I wasn't too impressed with the wackness (the kid was a whiny bitch) but my gf loved it.
