20 jars 4 strains. A Mushroom Growlog

Just inoculated 20 pf tek style  BRF Vermiculite & lil coffee

Strains are....Mexi-Albino,Cambodian,PESA And PF Classic
Placed in incubator with my heat bomb Steady 84 degrees cant wait as soon as there's life postin pics up...

And in a coulpa days i plan on doing 20 more..with Penis Envy and Albinbo Penis envy...hrm cant decide

good luck man, r u gonna fruit all of them as cakes?

u should think about spawning some to bulk and doing a tub, i just did my first tub and saw for myself that cakes are pretty miserable compared to tubs.  a great cake might get you like 7 grams dry in a flush and probably won't give very good subsequent flushes, while a good tub will give you like 2 dry oz per sq foot and will have pretty good subsequent flushes as well. 

btw i had mexi albino going as well and it's kind of an annoying strain, mushrooms are friggin tiny and skinny, esp on cakes, but even in my tub they didn't get that big and a lot of them had real skinny stems so they kept falling over, some of them did get decent in size, but not nearly as big as the other strain i had which was PESA.

well ive been growing mushies for almost 4 yrs now and iam going to have a "perpetual harvest" setup i read an article bout how this guy in san fran grows 20 lbs a month dry using 100 aquariums and just flushing straight cakes i plan on doing the same but with tubs.who knows i just want the first batch for the profit cuz the only thing i paid for was the jars and the spores lol did the rest myself...

i have alot of straw or what ever mycopath sells but that shit dries out too quik and i hate pooo so im thinking 50/50 straw and coir

and i had 3 shot glasses that i nocced up..done and soaked rolled in vermiculite and calcium bicarbonate mmmmmmmm week or so and ill have pesa mexi albino and cambodian to tasssste....

Im going 50/50 bulk substrate but with vermiculite and coir. I might throw in a bit of coffee grounds and crushed oyster shell as well

whats that bottle in ur grow tub for? in my experience i rarely would do pints, always half pints, just because they cultivate like 3-4 days faster than the bigger ones. also u dont have to let ur mycelium cultivate in a tub w/ perlite u can shove them in a shoebox under ur bed. darkness or lightness, air and humidity doesn't matter at that stage.

tips:

84 is an outdated temp, shroomery will tell you. 70-78. 78 being HIGHEST.  IMO, 72 is best.

removing tape will allow for MUCH better gas exchange

if substrate is at field capacity, jar lids should be tight

humidity is BAD, BAD, BAD, BAAADD!! for myc growth incubation, especially at such a high temp, because bacteria and other contams love that, and initial myc growth doesnt actually benefit from it. so forget perlite, forget aquarium heaters, and just put em in a closet shelf, shelf above the fridge, or any WARM DARK and DRY place ***If you live in REAAAAALLY dry climates, its okay to humidify, but dont go overboard.

I hope you will at least consider and try. I promise it will do wonders!!
