McCain or Obama

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on the election. I don't vote, especially in Presidential Elections, but this years election has had me particularly interested.

Personally, I am hoping Obama wins.

Obama. McCain is in his 70s and could easily die in his office, leaving Sarah Palin to run this country.

Are you shitting me. That must never happen. Granted, I rarely take interest in the issues that don't really apply to me and am 20 and did not deem registering to vote for this election worth my time..

Kind of in the same boat. My state's electoral vote hasn't gone to a Democrat in like 40+ years, regardless of the popular vote...Plus, W. has been our President for the last 4 years, even after losing the national popular vote. It really is a joke the way our electoral process works.

Yea if you take in to account the fact that the popular vote essentially means jack shit, that's just more incentive for me not to waste my time registering to vote, and going to vote on election day.

Let's not forget the elections in 2000. Bush lost the popular vote, yet won the election. And of course we all know how that worked out...

Care to elaborate what you saw that I didn't see?

I thought Palin spent more time back tracking to the one topic she felt safe debating (energy independence), than actually addressing the debate questions that were being given to her. I thought it was quite redundant.

I dont like the McCain and Palin drug policys. Obama understands the war on drugs has failed. Biden doesnt understand that. therefore i dont like him.

Yeah I think with Obama we would have the best chance at either decriminalization, or at least reduced sentences, out of the last 20 years or so...Since Carter.

Obama has already said that he would end the raids on the cannabis clubs in california and that the entire drug war was a waste of resources. Im not saying he will do what he says, but thats a lot better than McCains policy
