I want to start rolling my own though. I never looked at it as trying to be a "hard ass" though.

I just like to discover new ways to live as simple and natural as i can.

The reason American Spirits are so tight is because they pack 25% more tobacco in there then your average cigarette. (They really do.. that shit is packed tight). Not to mention, it is JUST tobacco... no chemicals, additives, flavorings, accelerants..etc.. or any of the other 994 chemicals they add to most commercial cigarettes. Thus, they smoke slower, and last a lot longer.

The trick, is to roll the cigarette between your fingers to loosen up the tobacco. Most cigarettes you have to "pack" them so they don't burn to the filter the second you light them due to being soaked in a chemical cocktail. Not American Spirits, you need to do the opposite... never pack them.. if you find it hard to drag on them then roll them between your fingers and loosen up the tobacco.. works like a charm.

If you don't like the flavor.. which most people who smoke marlboros etc don't, because they are used to smoking chemicals and not actual tobacco smoke... I recommend the perique (black) box.. good shit. Has an almost fruity flavor. Anyway, after smoking american spirits for a few years, everytime I smoke a marlboro or camel or newport or whaever I almost gag because you can definitely tell you are smoking a billion chemicals and not really tobacco. People who don't smoke unadulterated tobacco have no idea because they are used to it, and they think spirits 'taste' like shit because they are used to inhaling everything on this list - http://www.blowingsmoke.arizona.edu/web%20articles/chemicals_cigs.htm

Made with 100% additive-free, whole leafe, organic tobacco. No reconstructed sheet tobacco. No processed stems. Up to 25% more tobacco than other king size cigarettes...

I saw a documentary thing on how cigarettes are made and totally put me off. They just shove shit in paper and call it a cigarette.

A.S., my new brand . The guy on the box is totally  :bongload:

Word. They are solid as fuck.
More expensive then most cigarettes.... but considering how it takes me about 10 minutes to smoke a spirit.. and I can smoke a marlboro down to the filter in about 30 seconds.... well worth it. Sometimes I'll even just smoke half a spirit and have had enough and put the rest out for later.. you don't really see people doing that with normal cigs.

I was pissed a few years ago when phillip morris bought out nascigs.. but nothing has changed.. they still follow their same philosophy, morris just owns them now and gets profits from them, but Nascigs still runs it.

Oh.. my mistake.. they were bought out by RJ reynolds.... but same deal applies. Organic tobacco, whole leaf, no stems, no BS.. just tobacco.

Yeah I was wondering who owned them. Like on Winstons it had the RJ Reynolds Winston-Salem Co jammy. but couldn't find anything on AS. Thought they were like an indie cig company but whatever, still much better than the other stuff I've put my lips around and sucked on.

They used to have a one time deal where if you proved your age they would send you a free carton. I checked their site and they don't appear to have it anymore but they will send you a $20 gift certicate - http://www.nascigs.com/SampleCarton/tabid/141/Default.aspx

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

Very first smoke= Winston filters...about 12 years old...
By 15, smoking "One-Hump" Camels( also known as camel straights). When smokes went from +/- $10 to $20, swintched to Pall Mall straights...
In '99, when I moved, I started smoking A.S. for financial reasons...Now I prefer to roll my own.
Takes me about an hour to roll up 4 "packs", about 70-80 smokes, while watching T.V. at night. Lasts me about 4-5 days...
Coincidently, I have over 3,000 extra papers saved up, as they provide 200 with can, and I get about +/- 140-150 per can...
I think about 1,000 of those papers are Rizla, then they switched to thier own brand of papers, with the Indian logo, all natural, of course.
Peace
