Does Serenade go bad??
    #569265 - 07/03/11 12:38 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

Does Serenade Disease Control fungicide spray go bad?? I've had it for over a year just sitting around.

It says active ingredient: QST 713 strain of Bacillus subtilis

Quote:

The storage stability of Bacillus subtilis QST 713 Technical Powder was assessed by determining the titres initially and after three, six and twelve months of storage under warehouse conditions (18-32°C and 14-80% relative humidity). Assay results indicated that QST 713 Technical Powder was stable for up to one year when stored at warehouse conditions.

Storage stability data were submitted for one batch of Serenade MAX. The data indicate that Serenade MAX is stable for up to 24 months and maintains the label guarantee of a minimum of 7.3 × 109 CFU/g when stored at 20°C.

Storage stability data were submitted for one batch of Serenade ASO. The data indicate that Serenade ASO is stable at room temperature for up to 24 months and maintains the label guarantee of a minimum of 1 × 109 CFU/g. The storage stability data for Serenade ASO are acceptable for Rhapsody ASO and Serenade Garden Concentrate.

Storage stability data were submitted for one batch of Serenade Garden Ready To Use. The data indicate that Serenade Garden Ready To Use is stable for up to 24 months and maintains the label guarantee of a minimum of 1 × 108 CFU/g when stored at room temperature.

It gets dicey after about 2 years according to these results.

is that an organic fungicide?
I've been looking for one for my organic grow, but I'm not sure fungicides get absorbed by the plant so I'm not sure it matters, but then it wouldn't be bio, would it?

hey, if you think I'm spamming your thread just pm and I'll delete this post.

Yipyip, its called "Serenade Garden, Disease Control, Controls bacterial spot, powdery mildew, rust, gray mold, leaf blight, scab"

I wouldn't recommend this spray. The guy at my local hydro store told me that it's way better to prevent mold by using - I forget the name - some liquid that makes the plants "cell walls grow thicker." So the mold has a harder time breaking through the plant I guess. He said it also adds a lot weight :yesnod:

edit: I bought this spray last year specifically for botrytis

i think your hydro store guy is talking about yucca extract? heard that was the shit when speaking of organic fungicides, and foliar sprays.
btw, wet betty by advanced nutrients is a great organic wetting agent
