I thought about suicide this morning. But then I thought about writing a short story about a dude who genetically engineers ant people then has to put up with government and religious bullshit. So it's all good until I realize that the stories probably been done about 100 times before

They aren't always. However, today's polls are not simply yes or no, and more than one thing may apply.
I hope that makes sense.
And BTW, to prove that they're not always multiple choice, the STAL thread has a poll that only has one choice.

I was a nihilist for a few months last year, and that was the closest I came to suicide. I thought about it, but never went through it. I knew that if I killed myself that would be it, so even though I felt life was meaningless, I knew it was all I had. 
Then I started smoking a lot of herb and reading up on Buddhism and transformed my suffering. Buddah ftw.

Yeah... I've gotta find a religion. I mean, lately, I can really see a use for it.
It bothers me that life will end and there will be nothing... I'd rather live my life believing there's an afterlife, or reincarnation.
I was brought up christian, but I can't go back to that - there's just no way I could *force* myself to believe that.

by constantly it comes up frequently
and a suicidal thought can be as subtle as would I survive this 75 foot fall? Maybe *shrugs*
My homicidal thoughts are somewhat of a issue I have.
