Demonoid is a great site to find torrents. It's probably the best I've come by. Only registered users can use the site, and you can only register with an invite.

demonoid invites are pretty easy to get, at least IMO. Since you can download movies from the site your ratio shoots up really quick. I always have a few spare invites on hand for people that need them. Don't think i've dipped much below a 1.5 ratio since i joined.

It just took me a while to find someone to give me an invite... but I really didn't look too hard. My friend mentioned it one day when we were talking about music, so he sent me one.

True enough.
Demonoid is one of the few sites i dont have a problem keeping my ratio good.
The others its hard to get in early enough to make a significant contributation.

unless you're running 56 k, or are on an extremely congested pipe, my upload speed is no faster then anyone else running cable  . It's not hard, just download a popular movie or two and let it sit until you hit a 2.0 ratio for the file.
It's how i kept my ratio up at oink when it was still around, except i used rosetta stone instead of a movie. Otherwise my account would have be canceled pretty quickly. All the music i wanted was pretty obscure.

i got lucky and nabbed an invite from someone on the shroomery, i think it was drewwyann or something close to that. Took me a while to figure out how to jack the ratio up, but a few messages to some people led me to the rosetta stone trick. It was pretty funny how many people wanted that program.
