New beasts in the house!
    #87858 - 07/19/08 12:51 PM (15 years, 9 months ago)

My parents went up to the Humane Society today and got a cat, which I renamed Thor, and a dog named River.  My camera's battery died trying to take pictures of them, so pics when it's recharged.

How big is the dog? If it is a lap dog that is lame as fuck.
Cats are tight no matter what though.

I love cats.  This little dude is already sleeping on my bed and he's only been here like an hour.

It's not a lap dog.  It's a medium dog.

I want an Irish Wolfhound. My aunt has two they are badass dogs. Back in Roman days wolfhounds would take out lions 1v1 now that is impressive.

I love E coli.  Without it, medical science would be decades behind where it is today.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean?  E coli has provided numerous insights as a model organism, particularly in the identification of the replicative DNA enzymes initially, but in literally hundreds of thousands of other things since then.

Yes, many of these insights could have been gained with other model organisms.  But E coli are just easy-peasy.

What's with the attitude today?

I would only get a lap dog, or rather a smaller dog if it was one of those Scottish Terriers...because i would give him a crazy name like McGruffin, and he would always wear plaid and argyle.

i've got 2 lap dogs. one weighs 65lbs, the other weighs 70lbs. i don't see why big doggies can't be lap dogs too cos mine definitely are. sometimes, when i'm reclined on the couch watching a movie or something, both of them will get up on my lap and pass out. it's adorable, but very heavy.
