I watched the video that I've linked below about 6 months ago.
Well while I was out and about today, I spot those perty pink flowers and what I watched comes flooding back to me.
I pull over and pick a good handful of the bright pink blossoms to try out. Get home, throw about half in a pot and pour about a cup and a half of nearly boiling water over them. The color is almost immediately faded out from them which was interesting to see.
Took a swig and waited a good 5-10 mins to make sure I don't have any immediate adverse effects / allergic reactions.
I proceeded to drink about a half a mug worth. I can taste it a little bit, but with my olfactory senses being so damaged from the motorcycle crash, its hard to tell. Just herbal, not offensive any way.
I have to say, it REALLY works. I feel noticeably different. You hear a lot of new age hippie BS online about how all these different plants are supposed to do different things, and they never live up to it, but this actually does.
I was feeling agitated and on edge for most of the day, and quite lethargic from my sleep schedule being in the gutter. And I really can say this stuff has evened me out.
I'm genuinely looking forward to exploring this further, and I certainly recommend trying it.
As the video states, the plant is invasive here in North America, so you don't have to feel bad about harming the trees too badly, should you go the bark stripping route. And there's also tons of them that grow along the highways here in Texas, so go nuts.
