A lot more folks are doing it these days. I'd check out reddit way more active. But autos do best with at least 18 hours of light daily. Genetics have come a long way since the original Lowryder was released 20+ years ago. Ethos Genetics has been doing really well in that area. They have a lot of good genes from the autoflowers.

Damn, That's bad news. I've been growing auto's for just the second time this year.
Last year I sowed at the end of Feb, keeping them in my light cupboard until the sun came round to the back garden. They were harvested by this time. I had forgot they were auto's. They started flowering while still in 5" pots. Potted them on. Only 1'5oz from three plants. More than enough for my medical needs.
This year I sowed a little later (end of March) this year hoping to have them flower through mid summer. I put two of them in the garden. Their about 4' high, even after being topped, and the bloody things are just about showing the first signs of flower, a few pistils. At this time of year, between the council tree planting and a neighbours 'weed tree' that's over 20' high, their only getting about 6 hours of direct sun a day.
I had intended to 'gorilla' another two, but the space I'd earmarked for them was completely overrun with weeds (cow parsley) and were to big for me to safely lug around the estate.

A whole month later.

Filling out nicely, but this is about the most direct sunlight they get in a day~ 10:00am. I might harvest sooner rather than later, possibly Saturday, the next day forecast for some bright sun.

Well, the bright weather forecast for today turned out to be overcast. With three days of rain to come, and noticing a little bud rot had to harvest anyway.

Just hanging around.
