 Quality Homemade Bong

I want to make a quality homemade bong. Remember, quality. This means no plastic. I will start with a glass bottle and drill a hole using a dremel.
What could i use as a good stem? Or where could i buy just a stem? And how would you attach it? I figure i would use a slide but i would still need a stem of some sort unless im mistaken.

I used a homemade bong on prom night, my dealer whipped it up with a beer bottle.

umm jesus, this is hard to remember, umm lets see.
he used a beer bottle, and then a screw (as the bowl) and piece of pipe (something metallic anyways).

if you don't mind having a metal stem, you can use a metal pen tube. Or, if you have a dremel, take a test tube/vacutainer and lop off the rounded bottom. If you have an old chillum lying around you can turn that into the bowl and stem.

plumbers putty! Non toxic, no fumes, it never dries out, and it forms the perfect seal. Every time i visit back east i have to make a little bong to smoke from, it's what i use to seal things up.
