And when it comes to that fantastic note

https://www.growweedeasy.com/how-long-will-marijuana-seeds-remain-viable

Quote:

Marijuana seeds should be keep in a cool, dark place such as a basement or in your refrigerator. Heat and moisture ‘signal’ to the seeds that it’s time to sprout, so as long as you keep the seeds in a dry, dark environment they can remain viable for years. I have heard cases of seeds sprouting after being in storage for 5-6 years. However, you will notice that older seeds take longer to germinate than fresh seeds and a few of them may not geminate at all. As time goes on, fewer and fewer of the seeds will successfully germinate.

I have seeds I crossed in 2001 to 2004 and seeds I crossed two years ago. The older set was made with six different fathers and Sensi seeds Mr Nice for the mother. The newer seeds were sage and mk ultra.

All the new seeds popped within twenty four hours. Of the six older seeds five crosses were not viable however one cross had 9 out of 25 seeds sprout but it took five days to do so. The father was sweet tooth from Spice of life and the mother was Mr nice.

Note all seeds were kept in a cool place and rice to keep them dry. The seeds were placed in an incubator at 28c.

So with a bit of :goodluck: seeds can last for 15 years or so.
