 Super stealth grow- HBD and RRR

I had a tiny space to work in, and I think I made the most of it. There's a small area in the uninsulated attic, in a back room full of building materials. I used insulation board to make my cab, which blends right in..
 
Starting with the basics: 2 Himalayan Blue Diesel and 2 Russian Rocket Fuel. 6 27w 1750 lumen CFLs. 4 half gallon pots with Gardener's Gold organic ph neutral soil.
 
46 cfm computer fan is giving me three exchanges per minute, keeping it a comfortable 60-70F. On a 20-4 light cycle, gonna keep it there the entire grow. I'm not going to complicate this with anything, just water and leave it be..
After this, I'll do another 4 plant run, and then it's time to start vegging the amnesia haze for outdoors..

Auto flowering? If not you won't be able to leave them on 20-4. You sure you arent going to use any nutes?

Yeah, they are autos.. from what I've read they are very sensitive to nutrients, esp. the HBD. I MAY try some on the rocket fuel, we'll see..

Nutrients don't complicate things.. They allow your plant to get closer to its potential, which without nutrients it won't even come close to, unless you have some badass soil.
I would really, really recommend some kind of food for the plant, at the very least use something for flowering.

auto flowering plants are very touchy though like he said. you should get a 3 part system from advanced nutrients or someone

Yeah, I'm gonna use a 10-30-10 mixture @ 1/4 strength on the RRR. I MAY try it at 1/8 on the HBD; the blueberry strains are notorious for their nute sensitivity. And I'm only gonna start after flowering since there's no veg time to speak of..

I started germing these seeds on Halloween. Today is 7 days from planting. I can already see the differece between the Rocket fuel(black pots) and the Blue Diesel. The Fuel's leaves are broader and smoother, while the Diesel's are smaller and serrated.
The Fuel on the back left may have stretched; it's falling over. I packed the soil around the base a bit firmer, and resisted the temptation to water,(i did give em all a misting tho)the theory being to make the roots search for moisture..

Day 12- The rocket fuel(black pots) is doing really well, but I'm not so sure about the blue diesel.
The one up front on the left looks like it has problem. It's been having problems since it popped through the soil.The new shoot couldn't seem to shed the seed casing. It was standing for a few days with the seed shell stuck on it. Dunno if it was a bad seed or what, we'll see what happens I guess..

No I don't... This is my first indoor grow, so I chose autos for their simplicity. As for the potency, I'll let you know in about...7-8 weeks

I grew out some AK 47 x Diesel Auto's last year. Potency was so/so, I'd rate it at a high quality midgrade honestly. Not the most potent stuff in the world, but a much better choice then a bag of schwaz.

Absolutely!
All too often I see people online saying things like "genetics determines yield" or "strain dictates THC %". Sure, that's true in some way, but not in a practical, in your growroom kind of way.
All genetics do is determine how the plant responds to real-world stimulus. That means it does limit what a plant is capable of, but it doesn't decide what it will do.
Two identical clones, one grown under optimal conditions and the other grown in a poorly-lit closet and given only just enough fertilizer to keep it from dying will not have any real similarities. There won't be anything in common between the two plants - not yield, not potency, and certainly not appearance.
And what is maximum potential? How would we know if we achieved it?
People think we know what the best THC content a given strain can do is. But all we actually know is the THC content a given strain has ever produced and then been tested at. Could it do more? Who knows? We only know what we've seen and tested.
Maybe with optimal conditions we can only guess at today the future grower will be getting yields double, triple or even quadruple the best anyone's seen today. Perhaps even that much increase in potency!
People scoff at some of the claims companies like Advanced Nutrients make, but it's companies like that who refuse to believe that what we know today is all there is to know that constantly push forward the boundaries of science and understanding.

Both of the Rocket Fuels are males. But, holy shit!! They showed sex within 16 days of breaking soil. Oh well.. got two more seeds germing now.. The blue diesel is looking pretty good, probably be 5-7 days to tell sex.. Fingers crossed. Pics coming when I get batteries for the camera..

Went away for the holidays. I put a watering globe in each of the pots.. they worked great! One is a male(rocket fuel), so he's gone. The blue diesel is def a girl tho.. Gonna soak a special queen seed today(royal queen seeds), and I'll veg for about 7 weeks until the diesel's ready for harvest.. pics forthcoming..

Oh yeah I have been feeding with a 4-12-4 mixture at half strength. Mixed a batch of bud n bloom, 10-52-8. Gonna try that at 1/4 strength in the globe, maybe increase for 3 weeks, then flush..

The HBD is looking pretty healthy. I'm using the globe for watering, and she's sucking down a full globe a day. Every third day I'm filling a globe with bud n bloom @ half strength. No sign of nute burn yet, so I may up the ppm. She is stinkin already...
Her new friend, the Special Queen is doing nicely for 4 days. The humidity dome was key!! I'm going to use it with every seedling from now on.

HBD at end of 5th week? It doesn't look like she's gonna finish in 3 more.. I think I may have fucked it up as a seedling by letting her get too dry. Hope it just extends the grow time, and doesn't affect yield. On a better note there is some sugar on the leaves!
Special Queen is doing well at 2 weeks..

Here's the HBD at 7 weeks. She showed the first signs of nute burn 4 days ago, just yellowing the barest tips of all the leaves. Stopped feeding, using pur filterd water for two more weeks til the chop.. Buds are thickening better than I expected for cfls. Lots of sugar forming. I hafta say, although I had some trouble in the beginning once I discovered how important humidity is to these AF seedlings, it was all cake from there.. I'm impressed for sure, enough to invest in some more AFs for outdoors while I'm waiting on my big girls..
And the Special Queen at 23 days, LST'd and supercropped.. she'll veg for about 13 more days, then I'll cut the lights back and switch nutes.
Gonna pop a couple decent bagseeds today for shits and grins, and flower with the queen.

looking good. i was surprised how well my cfl grows went considering pplz where like you will only get popcorn budz. phish. only probs was heat from the many cfl's i had. 8 26 watters and 2 42 watters. i just got a 150 watt hid to get rid of all the cords in my cab to make space for a bigger plant tho. will be checking back on this.

Thanks.. I'm not really an indoor grower although I'm sure I will become one when I can be assured of full privacy.. got a line on some free hps lights, dunno the wattage yet. Someone my wife works for in county parks and rec dept knows where there are a bunch that were donated by the police dept from a huge bust.

Gave her the chop yesterday. My wife and I took a tester bud from her the night before last, and found it to be right where we want it. We giggled like middle school kids getting high for the first time, then fucked like rabbits for two hours like a couple of high school kids..
I chopped all the upper buds, leaving the bottom 1/3 of her to go for another week or so, until I cut my lights back for flowering my Special Queen and two Hazes I'm flowering from seed.

I gotta say, so far I am impressed. I'm high as fuck right now off of sugar leaves. Trich production was very nice and I can definately taste the diesel influence. This particular strain gave the heady giggly high at first, then proceeded to cross my eyes.. very decent smoke.

Nice sounds like some dank bud, I've been interested in growing some autoflowers just didn't wanna waste my time if it wasn't gonna get me high
