With LED i never had many yellow and cloudy tricomes. Just harvested when the bud looked great.

They do look great to say the least:crazy2: Should I start plucking some of the large fan leaves.

memberjockey, nice looking buds, my friend.  Looking great!

Nah, do not pluck the leaves.  Leave the leaves on until harvest; give the buds a chance to mine the nitrogen out of the leaves.  The mining of the nitrogen out of the leaves is characterized by the fan leaves beginning to turn yellow towards the end of the plants life cycle.

Also, plucking leaves during fruiting adds unneeded stress to the plant.  Any unneeded stress to plants during flowering causes diminishing, due to the plant having to focus it's energy on healing rather than bud, and THC formation, and production  The level of diminishing caused by stress to the plant during flowering is dictated by the severity of the stress.

I have a jewelers loupe but I like the looks of the scope, do you think one's better than the other. The trichomes are both clear and milky colored. :heartpump:

I personally would wait til you start seeing some amber ones.. but mostly cloudy.. clear is what you don't want for sure...

And i like the one i linked mainly cause it has a zoom function and focus, do you don't have to keep lifting it up and down trying to see stuffs.. but a loop is fine..

Good morning peeps, though the trichomes aren't amber yet the fan leaves are starting to yellow. They also are needing water daily. Are the leaves just old? why are the teeny ones on zanity yellow?

Im gonna guess an say N defincey but you dont want alot of N at the last stage so it doesnt taste "green".

They need alot of water to pump up the flowers! Lol i heard in the flowering stage u wanna keep the soil kinda moist.

Im just guessing wait for old heads

They tend to loose color toward the end. When flushing especially. If they're drinking lots of water they're still growing. At their peak they will require the most per day. Toward the end you'll notice they hardly take any water up, that's when I would chop mine down. Particularly before the yellow recedes into the buds.

The plant uses the nutrients in the shade leaves toward the end to support reproductive growth.

Under LED's I barely saw any cloudy tricomes when I harvested. If you don't harvest within a cerain window your plant will start to foxtail. Cut them down before they do it, or wait another few weeks (11+ weeks) if they can handle it to fill out that new growth. Not ever plant likes to foxtail and fill in, some just foxtail and look ugly. Know your plant, some of those that fill in are the dankest buds you'll ever have.

Unless they start showing heavy yellowing I think they could go the distance, I want dank. The inzanity seems to show foxtailing by nature but also shows more yellowing on the small leaves where the cheese not as much foxtailing with only the fan leaves yellowing, if they start showing signs let them foxtail? These are all inzanity.

Thanks a big bunch:hug:

Everything is fine.  They look like they are ripening up well.

The yellowing is perfectly normal.  It is just the flowers mining the nitrogen out of the fan leaves.

memberjockey, I have a question for you; if I may.  How is the bud density, and I apologize in advance if this has been stated already;  what kind of light(s) are you using?

The buds on the outside are denser and darker than further inside the stem where it's not getting as much light, the further in you go the lighter green and not as dense the buds are. This is one of the lowest branches that doesn't get as much light plus down the stem below the tip the buds were getting no direct light. Though it's wet it has weight to it. The tip is farther along than lower down. I think they may already be foxtailing I'll check closer tomorrow.

It's a blackdog max 600 :sunny:
I'm super sleepy sorry if nothing I just wrote makes any sense. I'll be back tomorrow, exit stage left.:heartpump:
