So I'm looking into extracting psilocybin. But from what I've gathered methanol is the best solvent to use. Does anybody know of any good write ups about this?

Use high proof alcohol since its food grade. when psilocin and psilocybin are in pure crystal form they degrade rather quickly. You can extract to alcohol then reduce to desired amount.
