is it possible to germinate a seed on an agar plate?---i know odd question.

Orchid seeds are germinated in agar so yes it's possible. What benefit do you see in using agar?

yah, i guess in the scientific sense it's a pretty cool idea. As far as practicality is concerned i don't see a reason to use agar.
