Question about making cannabis oil with a slow cooker

Hello friends,
I am making some cannabis infused olive oil using my slow cooker.
Every guide I've read has said to put it on low temp for 3 hours, then let cool for 7 hours, repeating this a few times.
My slow cooker takes 2 hours before its at the point of bubbling slightly, considering this should I put it on for longer?

Shouldn't matter too much if you cycle through several times.

The point is to heat it up a little and then let it soak for a long time.
