What's your main problem? Those lines that appear?
If I remember correctly. Digital ballasts won't emit those lines when taking a photo.

I've not tried this before, but for lines in the photo, it may help to raise the f-stop on your DSLR in order to drive down the automatic shutter speed. The high light level is causing a crazy high shutter speed, which is capturing those lines. Lowering the shutter speed will give more time for the lines of dark to move across the picture, and thus the light distribution on the picture will be more even.
As an alternative, you might be able to manually adjust the shutter speed further down at maximum f-stop, and then lower the brightness slightly once you load them onto you desktop.
Just drawing on what I've used for astrophotography before...not really sure if it'll help in this situation.

I try changing my angles above and pointing a little downward. Here's one that worked with no blacks lines.

Thanks! It is hard to get a pic to turn out with the light on i take most of them about 1 minute before the timer turns on the ballast.

Setting white balance is essential for LED photos. It doesn't seem to have as dramatic effect with HPS but should help some. You might need to add some white-correcting light to balance out the spectrum. I've seen good looking photos with HPS and MH lighting up buds.

I guess I could break the DSLR out to take pics. I was just trying to use my phone for convenience, Guess I'll have to be less lazy.

Use the flash and try using a high power flashlight if you have one. Try getting the HPS behind the buds so there is less yellow/orange and your lighting up the shadows with your flash.
Try selecting a preset white balance. Sometimes they work better than manual or auto.
Put a foil cover under the reflector to block the light if you don't want to shut the lights off and you can't get the photos you want while the HPS is on. You should just be able to block the direct light over an individual bud if you want to get closeups. Basically just block the light you don't want as needed. A big white sign foam board might just be what you need to block the light and act as fill for the back of the buds.
