2017 Grow - 2000 watts - Soil
    #823482 - 02/07/17 09:12 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Week 1

Im starting a small indoor grow.  Only going to be 1 or 2 lights at max.

The genetics I'm running are from Magash and Covert Genetics

From Magash I have just put two RainbowGrape and two BlueberryxHaze into the ziplocks to germinate.

From Covert I have three different strains running.  SensiBurn OG, Dark SensiStar, and Shogun. These pics are from a few days ago, and they're already taking off quite nicely.  Currently under a 8 bulb T5 fixture for the seedling stage.

Update: 3/2/2017

I have the plants in a mix of 2 soils, base camp from Elevation Organics, and Ocean forest.  Mixed in with bokashi at 1# per 20 gal.  Put ALL strains into 5 gallons pots, then watered with 6ml/gal of a humic acid supplement and 2.5ml of SLF 100.

Installed a new Blockbuster hood and the new 1000 HPS is up and running, raising the co2 levels slightly as this has turned into a tent grow project and fresh air is limited.

Every other strain in there is perking way up, had some nutrient issues with base camp on it's own, showing signs of potassium def. real early on, and they just weren't thriving, no strain was, and I have 5 or 6 going right now.  BUT  the Blue Haze was doing quite well compared to the others before the transplant, showed the best growth and least signs of deficiency.  Well, now, I'm seeing an over all yellowing from the two Blue Haze, it's really weird.

Pics to come soon

Oh yeah, I'm using Elevation Organics nutrients, as well as their soil, Basecamp.  It's a fantastic line, I absolutely love it.

His seeds will be in soil pretty soon.  Waiting on some Maneater from him as well.

I'm a T5 lighting fan as well. I also use HPS but in combination with MH. The first 3 weeks of flip I keep them on the MH because I believe it shows the stretch. Props for going organic I tried it and found it to be a lot more work than I would like but I do a really good flush 3 weeks before harvest.
Definitely sticking around love to see a organic grow the whole way. Cheers

I've organic to be just slightly more complicated.  It really hasn't taken much more effort on my end.  The bigger part for me switching to organic is that is just the direction the industry is headed for the recreational market.  With the sheer amount of testing going into the final product for it to be sold, it's just smart to start getting the hang of it now.

My outdoor beds are no til, and I'm loving it.

I hear ya. I love to experiment and I did for a long long time before I figured out my nutes. Now that I have I don't even need a schedule I can look at a plant know what product she's asking for. With organic it wasn't that simple I had to figure out the products what they did what strength it basically felt like I was starting from scratch. You do make a good point about market direction and I feel like maybe I'll make a compost for my next crop see how that works basically the mix creates its own nutes from natural sources like egg shells, banana peels ect. I've been inspired.

I'm glad to hear that the market is supporting organic. It is better health-wise long term.
