Generous Local Growstore

I just wanted to share a really positive experience I had with a local business in Battle Creek that sells indoor growing supplies and hydroponics. Today I walked into the store with my buddy (not sure if I'm allowed to share the name of the store considering it's not sponsered by the growery obviously, so I'll leave that out)feeling pretty lifted, looking for a bottle or two of nutrients and some potting soil, not really knowing what I'm doing or looking for in particular other than "veg" and "bloom" .. And so I walk up to the employee with two similar bottles from the same brand asking the difference between the two, well he puts his input in and takes me over to a different shelf and sets me up with some other nutrients. His boss (owner maybe?) overhears and says he likes how I was cooperating and legitimately taking the advice, so he walks up with a huge box of various bottles from "Emerald Harvest" and plops it down on the counter and says "how much for that setup you guys just picked out, $30? Alright I want to get you guys started out right so you can have this for $30." At this point I notice the $200 price tag on the box and I start to wonder how my luck could change so quickly. I go in the back and find some dirt and come up to pay. They also decided to throw in a PH kit with the stuff to raise and lower ph for free. I walked out of that store with over $200 worth of stuff for $50 total. My receipt is in my car right now and I'm fairly couchlocked (chairlocked?) at the moment so I can post it sometime tomorrow if anybody wants some proof.

Sorry, I was just gonna see if anybody asked for it before I took a picture. I've gotta get ready for work here in a minute but I can probably snap a pic and edit it real quick so it's easy to see where they discounted the shit

Sorry it's a little blurry, working with a budget Nokia Windows phone. I put boxes around the important stuff to make it easier to read. They rang the nutes up as clearance I guess.

Good for you and good on them. It's nice to see stores staying open. Around here we only have 1 or 2 old school stores that stay open from old heads and charge double online price for everything.
There's 1 relatively new one I hit up for soil because soil is expensive to ship, but they're also a homebrew store. A trend I see starting up more and more here. Makes for a fun trip to the store tho. 2 highly specialized things that work well together.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head. Why should that mean it isn't real?
