get a roll of hemp cord for about $5, a pound of beeswax for around $20, melt the wax down (small crock pot or double boiler). Take the first 100 feet of cord off till the weave on the outside is more of an open structure.. dip for a second then hang up. Dip the rest of the cord and hang.
The lb of wax should last a long ass time.

Males me realize I should have been more clear
I'm talking about making hemp rope outta ur plants stalks or stems
Then dipping in bees wax ect..
I'm LF help on how to take raw stalks or dried stalks and make hemp cord thag I can dip into bees wax and use to burn in replacement for lighters

you dry the stalks then beat them repeatedly against a nail board to separate the strands. I think you need to soak the stuff for awhile before or after, and it ends up taking like a year process or something ridiculous like that.

and if your going that route, you might as well grow the bee's yourself.

But really, the thinner the hemp cord the better, the thick cord burns with a char flavor.
