 Applying to a medical dispensary

This new walk in medical dispensary opened up near by me, its non for profit and really nice store. I am thinking about applying to work there for the summer. Anyone have any advice?
I have no prior growing experience, but I want to learn.

If they hire you you're probably gonna be a trimmer. Or a budtender .
Hopefully you have knowledge in concentrates,edibles,topocals, etc. As that would help.

Unless you have experience or know someone in the business I wouldn't get your hopes up on landing a job, chances are slim to none.

why would you need grow experience to work at a dispensary? I have a cousin who works at a dispensary, she got the job because she knows the owner, but they don't grow just sell the bud. Because she works there my dad and sister both get a 10% family discount.

I'm not sure how it works in your area, but over here you have to get a license through the state to work at a dispensary. Good luck, man.

no need for that here the lotto for dispensaries went up and there will only be 8 on my state but there were crazy overhead stipulations that came out to like 2 million in licenses fees and savings to even be considered they are announcing who got the bids soon but unofficially it was mostly Colorado dispensary owners who applied I'm sure they will have to hire locally after they get their spot I've had my eye on the job postings still haven't seen anything yet
