Hermie-ing an auto flower clone?

Good evening growery, hope this is in the right spot!
I got some pretty cool jack herer autos going, a lot of LST has stretched their potential a little further and im sure it can get even better.
The thing is I don't have seeds of this strain. Also auto flowering clones wont re-veg, they will keep flowering; regardless of light schedule. So imo yields from clones would be insignificant right?
Anyways, with this in mind, Could I theoretically take one clone from an auto flower and force it to hermie and collect dem seeds..?
What are your guys opinions on this idea?
Much Love,
Goji

Why do all that for shitty Hermie seeds?
My suggestion buy some ts/cs commercial spray. This is one way to get feminized seeds with no Hermie trait.

After about three and a half to 4 weeks of vegetative growth nearly all ruderalis will show sex. At this time it's best to take a cutting from the lowest point of the plant. This is because the hormone levels of the plant are much lower than they are the top of the plant. The lower branches haven't yet received the signal that the sex has been determined and to start Bud production. It's only a small window of a day or two that you'll have to take your cutting if you want to do this properly. Root cutting under 24/7 light of full spectrum low intensity before transferring the rooted clone to your grow substrate. Once rooted you can put on as much light as you can to provide the Clone growth and it should grow vegetative to about 80% of the parents final size. The age of the clone may be twice as large as it should be but the flowering time is the same as if it was from seed.

I will sure try taking cuttings form lower branches in the future. For now I will try some ts/cs commercial spray. Seems more efficient for my set up at the moment.
Thank you Mag and Dead for the quick and informative replies!
