 Can you clone auto flowering plants?

Hey, I found a strain of plant i would like to purchase and clone. It is an auto flowering strain called lowryder or on other websites short stuff. The plant is not supposed to get taller than 2 feet. So is it possible to clone a female auto flowering plant?

From what I hear auto-flower strains cant be cloned, but maybe someone with experience in auto-flowers will reply.

The deal is, you can clone them, and they will take in most cases.. It's the maturity that casues a problem, autoflowers are hardwired to flower at a certain age, no matter what, so what happens is the clone is still the same age as the plant it was taken from. This means you're gonna end up with a 4" plant going into full flower and you end up yielding nothing from it.

As diesel said you can't clone it, but not for the reasons most people clone things. An autoflower plant has a set life cycle, there is no way to keep one in a permanent vegetative state. You're much better off just flowering the plants, they stay relatively small and compact and are easy to care for.

what auto can you clone? any auto starts flowering at liek 3 weeks with only a few sets of leaves theres nothing to clone... then it just goes all bud..

I have to wonder...what if you had one of those big green bins, and cloned a whole bunch of tiny auto-flowers in a SOG style. They wouldn't get very large, but they also wouldn't require much space. It seems like you could fill a very small space with a large amount of plants.

I have experience with auto flowers and salvia was pretty much right on! They start flowering almost instantly which allows for no branch growth.And second, like diesal said, they are programmed to flower regardless of light cycles and seasons. So even if your able to clone the tip/s they will not amount to anything.
